Meteorological Analysis Guide for AeroOps

The system provides advanced tools for handling airport weather reports (METAR) and forecasts (TAF) to ensure operational safety before takeoff and landing.

Key Features:

1. Fetching Data from NOAA

Instead of manual searching, simply enter the 4-letter ICAO airport code (e.g., HECA) and click "Fetch Live Weather". The system connects directly to NOAA servers to retrieve the latest data.

2. Instant Local Decoder

Once the METAR text is retrieved, the system immediately decomposes it into clear information "cards" including:

  • Wind: Direction, speed, and any gusts.
  • Visibility: Horizontal visibility range.
  • Phenomena: Cloud layers, fog, precipitation, or storms.
  • Pressure & Temperature: Accurate airport readings.

3. Risk Scoring

The system automatically color-codes the results:

  • Green: Normal conditions (CAVOK).
  • Yellow: Conditions requiring attention (strong winds or limited visibility).
  • Red: Dangerous conditions (thunderstorms or severe winds).

4. Smart Forecast Analysis (AI TAF Analysis)

Since TAF reports can be complex with overlapping time periods, you can click "Analyze Forecast with AI". The system will then explain the expected weather developments over the next 24 or 30 hours in easy-to-understand human terms.

Tech Tip:

If you see a "Date Stale" tag in red, it means the report is old (more than an hour). Exercise caution and attempt to refresh the data.
