✈️ User Guide: Apron Management & Smart Maps
Welcome to the enhanced AeroOps system. This guide explains how to use the Apron Management dashboard and Interactive Maps to manage airport operations efficiently.
1. Apron Management
This page allows you to monitor the status of each aircraft stand and ensure its suitability for incoming flights.
- Live Mode: Used for real-world operations. Any modification or deletion requires the administrative password (
admin123) to prevent operational errors. - Training Mode: A safe environment for experimentation. You can use the "Fill Mock Data" button to populate the table with sample data and test the system without affecting real airport data.
- Aircraft Selector: From the dropdown menu, select the type of incoming aircraft. The system will immediately color-code the stands:
- 🟢 Green (Safe): The stand is perfectly suitable.
- 🟡 Yellow (Tight): The stand is narrow (aircraft dimensions are very close to the stand limits).
- 🔴 Red (Danger): The stand is dangerous (aircraft exceeds the stand's capacity).
2. Interactive Operational Maps
This feature transforms airport diagrams into smart tools linked to the live database.
- Status Visualization: When you open a map (e.g., Heathrow), stands will appear color-coded based on the current data from the Apron page.
- Details Popup (Hover): Simply move your mouse over any stand on the map to see a floating window displaying:
- Stand name and maximum dimensions (Wingspan/Length).
- Pavement Classification Number (PCN).
- Current status (Occupied or Available).
- Upload New Maps: You can upload any map file in SVG format. The system will automatically enable interactivity if the path IDs match the stand names.
3. Reports & Alerts
- Turnaround Alerts: If a stand is occupied, the system calculates the "Ready for Departure" time. When the time expires, the stand border will pulse in ORANGE to alert you.
- Export Data: You can export the current apron status to a professional PDF report or an Excel file with a single click.
Wishing you safe and efficient operations - The AeroOps Team.
